Maps/Ns2 range

Introduction

ns2_range is a map that was solely made for target practice. The map is available as a Mod on the Steam Workshop (Mod ID: 2910845118) and needs to be enabled in the Mod Options in the Main Menu.

How to play

Start the Map on a Listen Server. Now you need to utilize some Console Commands. Most importantly you need to activate Cheats via cheats 1 for everything else Keybinds are recommended. You only need to define the keys once unless you unbind them or overwrite your binding manually.

Beware, key names are case sensitive.

You can also resupply your weapon by giving you a new one. And if you just want to aim without being concerned with Ammo conservation you can use darwinmode which also gives you infinite Jetpack fuel. If you want to build structures, use autobuild and tres. If you want to buy weapons or equipment from your structures, use pres.

This is one example how you can setup the server to use with the Assault Rifle vs 3 Skulks. This is what you want to enter into the console

Playing one round

With this setup you can add three Bots by pressing + on your numpad and remove all bots by pressing - on your numpad. You can heal with numpad 1, resupply with numpad 2 and respawn with numpad 3. So you can use the map at any other time after enabling cheats via:

1. Num + (to add bots)
2. Fight the bots
3. Num - (to remove the bots)
4. Num 3 (if you died) / Num 1 and Num 2 (if you survived)
5. -> 1.

If you lose a structure or want to begin from scratch for another reason you can utilize reset manually.
