Introduction

Maturation refers to the aging process for most Alien Structures. Structures will slowly age over time, and steadily increase in health and armor for every additional maturity percentage accordingly. The time it takes for a structure to mature varies depending on the specific structure. Mature structures have more health than newborn structures. This makes e.g. a freshly built Hive much more vulnerable than a matured one. Maturation can be sped up bei either Nutrient Mist or Healspray. The two structures that actually change with full Maturity are the Whip which gains the Bombard ability and the Tunnel which turns into an Infested Tunnel and starts spreading Infestation.

There were plans to add visual indication for structure maturity, in terms of size and color vibrancy.

Starting Health and Armor

When you drop an Alien Structure or a Blueprint as a Marine Commander they have by default 30% of Health and Armor. The only exception is the Tunnel with 18%.
