Introduction[]
The Pistol is the secondary weapon for all Marines. It holds 10 rounds in each magazine and a Marine can carry a maximum of 4 extra magazines, making for a total ammo pool of 50 rounds. The Pistol has a weight of 0.0 (like Switch-Axe/Welder, Mines, and Grenades) and therefore does not slow down movement speed for Marines.
The Pistol has no bullet deviation, making it pin-point accurate, it also has a very low firing delay and does more damage per round than the Assault Rifle. The Pistol is most effectively used to finish off an enemy you have already damaged with your Rifle, or to "snipe" an enemy at long-range, such a Lerk that is roosting using Spikes or a Skulk biting on an Extractor.
Additionally the Pistol lets you run at full speed, as does the Welder. Always equip the Pistol when you need to get somewhere quickly, as it lets you run faster than the Assault Rifle while still providing some protection if you run into an enemy.
